Additionally, they needed the paint booths to provide a bigger capacity so they could service larger vehicles, like SUVs and vans.
After analyzing their needs, the Dimmitt team selected three Accudraft Titan Downdraft Paint Booths and a Accumix Paint Mixing Room. The configuration of these units perfectly fit the new facility for the Dimmitt Automotive Group, and made a huge difference in service quality and completion time. With the new technology, staff was capable of working quickly and efficiently while producing flawless results on a range of luxury and performance vehicles of various sizes.
The Accudraft Titan downdraft paint booth offers unparalleled downdraft airflow and contamination control, which means the Dimmitt Collision Center can take on more jobs and finish them quickly, while the incredible EnergySmart technology saves them up to 50% on their energy bills. The paint booth is also engineered to meet the airflow and heat specifications that are recommended by waterborne paint manufacturers so it can be used with the finest paints in the industry. The Titan also uses dual mode technology so the Dimmitt staff can easily switch between water-based or solvent-based modes quickly, which means they can complete one project while preparing for another.
The Dimmitt Collision Center is a busy facility, so it was very important to them that they have equipment that maintains their high standard of service and results, while allowing them to keep up with customers and demand. The Titan paint booth is outfitted with an integrated air makeup system, which is specifically designed for high production. The turbines provide powerful airflow through the booth and direct heating with maximum energy efficiency, which means the Dimmitt staff can put more jobs through the booth per hour, making their business quick and effective.
To complete the set up for the new facility, the Dimmitt group also chose to install a three-sided Accumix paint mixing room installed next to the paint booth for maximum productivity. The mixing room is a code compliant area for paint mixing and storage and it allows staff to mix paint, wash guns and keep all their tools and hazardous liquids in one well ventilated area. The configuration of the Titan paint booth and the Accumix mixing station selected by the Dimmitt group is an appealing set up, but also permits the team to work in a controlled environment without having to walk through the shop for the tools and equipment necessary for job completion.
