The Accudraft MX400™ is a modified downdraft spraybooth. Exhaust is achieved through the side walls and provides an airflow pattern very close to a true downdraft. Advantages include avoiding costly concrete work and still getting a downward flowing airstream that keeps dust and debris down. Installation is fast and easy and delivery is quick since above-ground units like the MX400™, MX300™, SS™, & Ventus™ are typically kept in stock.

Side Draft Paint Booth Airflow Concept

Side-draft or side-downdraft paint booths operate by introducing air through the ceiling and exhausting the air through the side-walls. The entire ceiling is filtered and the entire or vast majority of the length of the paint booth’s walls are filtered for exhaust.

A side-draft paint booth creates a more even pattern of airflow around the painted object and draws paint overspray and contaminants DOWN & AWAY from the finish. Side draft paint booths also do not need concrete pits to function so the added cost of concrete work is eliminated for the buyer. Single wall and double-wall insulated versions of the MX-400 paint booth system are available. The MX-300 is also available without heat or air makeup. Heat makeup and PLC paint booth controls are available as an add-on in the future.
