Every paint booth has different loads for both fuel and electric. Contact your manufacturer about the model you are considering and get the paint booth’s electrical load and other required information. This is helpful in both estimating with a contractor for bringing the electric service to the booth and for permitting information. Your local authorities will want to know all of this anyway when it’s time for the paint booth to be installed. It just helps to get it ahead of time to get some of the project costs estimated. As a rule of thumb, most automotive sized paint booths will need 100Amps or less on 208/240 3- Phase lines. Some, like a lower cfm heated booth or a non-heated paint booth need MUCH less than that.
