7 Questions to Ask Before Choosing a Paint Booth Provider

Are You Choosing the Best Paint Booth Provider?

For a lot of things, people these days do not go to a brick and mortar store to buy, they just shop online. It is very convenient. However, there are risks to buying paint booths online. And considering how pricey one can be, before you click “purchase” you need to verify that you are dealing with a reliable business.

There are established vendors like our team at Accudraft Paint Booths. We are industry leaders in paint booth manufacturing. We design and build our paint booths to the highest standards to comply with applicable regulations and standards. But, not every paint booth provider is like us.

While our paint booths are competitively priced, they are not cheap. That tends to lead some to go shopping for less expensive alternatives, but how can you trust that you will get a quality product? There are ways to weed out the bad actors. Here are 7 ways to help you do just that and choose the best paint booth provider.

#1: Verify Business Credentials

Step number one when dealing with a company you are unsure of is to do a search on the Better Business Bureau website. Not every business is listed with the BBB but those who have violations or have several complaints will be listed there whether they want to be or not. Go to their website and do a quick search for the vendor first.

#2: Search for Customer Reviews

We all know how unreliable some customer reviews can be. Some unscrupulous companies pay people to post positive reviews while others post negative reviews just to hurt a particular business even if they have never patronized them. Still, a quick search for customer reviews can reveal many red flags. Read through them and if the complaints far outweigh the praises – even if they are neck and neck – choose a different vendor.

#3: Look for Photos of the Equipment

If a paint booth company is selling paint booths but there are no pictures for you to see of their actual products it is a telltale sign that this business may not be legit. Not only that, the quality of the photos will tell you something about the company too. If a business is trying to attract customers, but their product photos are blurry, dark, missing or otherwise unprofessional, chances are their business operations are too.

#4: Is the Information they Provide Accurate?

If you are in the market for a paint booth then you probably know a thing or two about the business. You have a general idea about the features that you want and the size that you want. Read through their blog and product descriptions. Is their information accurate? Have they repurposed information from some other website? If their website information is wrong, how can you trust their business? Keep looking.

#5: Where are they Located?

This may seem like a small thing but it is really big. Anybody can pay someone to build them a website that looks like a real business. That means that you could be looking at a website built for someone who has no credentials, no legitimate business who is attempting to sell you a product.

They could be reselling a broken down paint booth that they found on e-bay or something. Verify that they have a brick and mortar location. If not and if there is no address to be found on their website, you are probably about to buy a broken down e-bay paint booth; we recommend that you keep searching elsewhere.

#6: Do they Provide a Number You Can Call for Support?

Just like with a physical address if there is no customer support or contact phone number, you are probably not dealing with a real business. More importantly, paint booth installations are complicated and the specifications thorough. If you need help, who do you call? If there is no way to contact the vendor, move on.

#7: Are they Manufacturers or Distributors?

Distributors are often tied to an established paint booth manufacturer but some of them build websites that make it seem as if they are the manufacturer. That is misleading and should throw up a red flag. When you order from the manufacturer you have a little more assurance that if you have questions about their paint booths that they know what they are talking about.

That is not to say that you shouldn’t buy from a distributor. We have Accudraft distributors all across the country that hold themselves to the same high standards that we hold for ourselves. But if a distributor is trying to pass themselves off as a manufacturer, they are practicing deception and cannot be trusted.
