A little bit of Accudraft history

In 1981, Guido Pippa, an owner of several production shops and the founder of Accudraft Paint Booths, was introduced to an Italian spray booth manufacturing company named SAIMA Meccanica.   This spray booth company stood out from all the rest because of their innovative technology as well as the high quality of their refinishing products. SAIMA’s engineers were manufacturing downdraft spray booth technology that would revolutionize the car refinishing market.  This technology had yet to be introduced to the US and Mr. Pippa was excited to bring downdraft paint booths home.

Mr. Pippa started importing and distributing the first ever Accudraft paint booth out of one of his shop branches in Paterson, NJ.  Starting with New York and New Jersey, Mr. Pippa began introducing and selling downdraft spray booths to eager customers.  The advances with this spray booth technology were apparent and the knowledge caught on.  Mr. Pippa realized that if he was going to introduce this product to the rest of the US, he was going to need some help.

Pretty soon, the shops were sold and the full Accudraft product line was borne. First with two models, then three, then many more new products that were engineered for various uses in the auto and industrial finishing industry.

Today, Accudraft continues to grow by forming lasting relationships with equipment distributors in the auto, industrial, marine, and aerospace markets.  This network is bringing Accudraft finishing systems to new places every day. Accudraft appreciates all its partners and looks to continue innovating and engineering new solutions to help its customers.
