A downdraft paint booth is an enclosure that delivers clean air from the ceiling of the space and exhausts from the floor. The clean air entering the paint booth is meant to provide a safe and healthy environment for the painter and a very clean air quality that will produce near flawless finishes that are free of dust and debris. The exhaust in a downdraft paint booth is also designed for both health of the painter and finish quality. The downdraft paint booth will exhaust overspray from the space no matter where the painter is spraying. The airflow does not cross over the painter or the job being painted in order to be exhausted. The overspray is pulled down and away immediately. This ensures that the paint overspray does not go towards the painter and also does not travel over a freshly painted surface.  See more on our blog post on Types of Paint Booths.
