Spray Booth Applications; Spray Booth Manufacturer

All spray booth applications have individual requirements for a superior finish to be produced. Alone, each application may seem inconsequential, but together they represent the highest quality. Along the way, if a step is not performed properly or a mechanical misuseoccurs, the final finish will show defects and reduce overall profit margin. In the end, every aspect of the spray booth process matters if a quality product is the desired result.

Process and Flow

Along the finishing line, each step in the process has particular aspects involved that affect a positive outcome of that step and the next. The one common aspect that matters to all spray booth applications is the reduction or elimination of possible particle contamination. It is this reduction or elimination of particles that remains the foremost priority of a spray booth manufacturer.

The layout of spray booth applications is the very first consideration in the finishing process. In the preparation and sanding areas there needs to be proper airflow and room for the product and worker to move efficiently. If automobiles are considered, make sure that they can move into and out of the preparation area easily. If sanding and spot finishing are to be accomplished, a stall size of approximately 12'x24' is a safe bet with a potential turning radius of approximately 50'. For spray booth applications at this station, a booth that is three-sided is acceptable as long as it has a curtain wall and proper ventilation. In some municipalities, a walled unit may be desired. If this is the case, abiding by National Fire Protection Standards should suffice.

Crucial for all spray booth applications, and possibly most important to the sanding and spot painting application, is proper lighting. This is a consideration that a spray booth manufacturer can help with, as most manufacturers tend to offer all forms of lighting directed from multiple angles and positions. There are several ways to properly light this application, which is why it is essential to discuss your needs with the manufacturer.
