Paint Booth Applications

Choosing and installing the correct spray booth for your needs requires a bit more preplanning then you may think. Environmental permits, energy costs, flow through rates and paint booth applications all need to be addressed in order for a business to run efficiently and profitably. Exterior and interior health considerations may be out of your control, but the many choices involved in choosing the correct system for your needs are not. Consulting with your paint booth manufacturer about your specific needs is the first step in the process and one that will get you up and running in an efficient and cost effective manner.

As you may already be aware, all paint booth applications require careful attention to detail and proper preparation work. Planning for your new paint booth is no different. You will need to begin your prep work even before you consider which system may be right for you. Local jurisdictions are required to measure up to federal air and water standards. Therefore, working with your paint booth manufacturer is critical. If the unit you are considering does not measure up to local or federal standards, your installation could be stopped prematurely. Make sure that your paint booth manufacturer is aware of all environmental regulations, and how your potential unit measures up before you buy.

Energy costs are a very real consideration as you go about researching paint booth applications that meet your needs. Gas and/or electric costs can mount very quickly depending upon which motors, dampers or flow through systems you use. All paint booth applications have different energy needs, depending upon configuration, requiring the need for close consultation with your paint booth manufacturer regarding regional temperatures, desired air flow rates, heat levels, throughput and layout of your operation.
